AOHC Launches New Poster Series

On behalf of Ontario’s Community Health Centres, AOHC is very pleased to launch a new poster series called “Health is…..”

The set of four posters, funded by the Trillium foundation cover four ways that Ontario’s Community Health Centres describe health.  They are entitled:

• Health is about the big picture
• Health is about community
• Health is about fairness
• Health is about having a voice

Each also briefly describes how the services Ontario’s 73 Community Health Centres deliver live up to these beliefs.

“The concepts presented in this poster series are vital in transforming health care, especially primary health care which is the cornerstone of our health system,”  says AOHC Executive Director Adrianna Tetley.  “Primary health care needs to work towards more comprehensive services that address the social determinants of health.  It also needs to tackle health inequities and enable community members to have more of an active voice and choice about services delivered in our communities.”
